Nav Durga Steel Furniture

You can find us over at Nagarbapa Estate, specifically at Shop No. 6. We are right near Gota Talav, which is a nice landmark since everyone knows where the water is. Our shop at Survey No. 290/1 is where we put together all our steel furniture. It’s a noisy place most days because of the metal being cut and welded in the back. We have cupboards, racks, and desks lined up near the front. They aren’t the fancy designer type, just solid steel things that are built to last a long time. The floor is usually covered in a bit of metal dust, and we try to sweep it up, but it always comes back. It’s just me and a couple of workers. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you’ll probably see us with grease on our hands or a measuring tape around our necks. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. People stop by to ask for a custom shelf or a sturdy locker for their office. We just write the orders down in a big ledger and get to work. It’s a basic setup, but it works for us. We like the local feel of the estate and being close to the water at the talav. Usually, we take a short break in the afternoon to watch the birds by the pond.
