Jv Patel Textiles

Jv Patel Textiles is located in the Chiknwala Estate. We are in the Sukhramnagar area of Gomtipur. If you know the industrial estates around here, you know it can get pretty crowded with traffic. There are lots of units doing different things, but we have stayed focused on our textiles. The estate is old and has a lot of history to it. You can hear the hum of the machinery throughout the day and into the evening. We have several looms that take up most of the floor space in our unit. It is quite loud, so we have to talk loudly to hear each other over the noise. We get our yarn from different places and then we get to work. I spend a lot of time checking the fabric for any mistakes or loose threads. It is hard on the eyes after a few hours of looking at patterns. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we keep the records and bills. It is mostly just stacks of papers and a computer that is a bit slow. We don't have a big sign outside, just the name written on the door. People who need us usually know exactly where to find us in the estate. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is a nice break for the workers. We work long hours when there is a big order to finish.
