M/S.Shri Bhagwati Saw Mill

If you walk down Jagnnathji Road toward the Lati Bazar area, you will probably hear us before you see us. The sound of the saws cutting through timber is pretty constant throughout the day. We are located in Zone Part No. 1, right behind Gitamandir. It is a very busy part of town with a lot of wood and construction materials moving in and out constantly. Our yard is usually filled with logs and cut planks stacked up high, and there is always a layer of sawdust on the floor no matter how much we sweep. It smells like fresh pine and teak most of the time, which is nice if you like that sort of thing. People come here when they need specific sizes for their building projects or furniture. We have been in this spot for a while, and most of the other business owners around here are our friends. It is not a clean environment by any means, your clothes will definitely get dusty if you hang around for too long. We have a few old machines that have seen a lot of use, but they still get the job done right. Sometimes the electricity goes out and everything goes quiet for a bit, but mostly it is just the hum of the mill and the trucks backing in. We just focus on getting the wood cut and making sure the measurements are what the person asked for. The wood business is hard work but it is what we know.
