Ghanshyam Engineering Works (Bapunagar Shah Patel

We are tucked inside Shah Patel Estate, specifically at unit 15. The estate is part of the Jaibharat Rangshala Compound in Bapunagar. If you have ever been to Bapunagar, you know it is a place where people really work hard. Our shop is full of metal lathes, drills, and heavy tools. It is greasy and dark in some corners, but that is just the nature of engineering work. We spend a lot of time measuring things down to the millimeter and then cutting or grinding metal until it fits. The sound of metal hitting metal is the background music of our lives. We have been in this compound for years, and we have seen shops come and go. It is a tight-knit place where everyone knows what the guy in the next unit is doing. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and you will find us at the machines. Sometimes we are covered in oil and coolant, so we are not exactly ready for a photo. We just fix parts and make things that people need for their own businesses. It is a practical job. We do not talk much while the machines are running because you can not hear anything anyway. When the day ends, we wash the grease off our hands and head home, only to come back and do it all again the next morning. It is just how Bapunagar operates.
