Gearking ( India )

Our business, Gearking ( India ), is located in Building No-16 at the Chetna Estate. We are pretty close to the Nagarwel Hanuman temple on Amraiwadi Road. It’s an industrial area, so there is always a lot of activity and the sound of trucks. We specialize in gears, so the shop is full of cutting machines and the smell of cutting oil is everywhere. It’s the kind of smell that stays on your clothes even after you go home. We’ve been in Chetna Estate for a good while, and we know most of our neighbors. The workshop floor is always busy with someone milling a part or checking the teeth on a new gear. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just the place where we make the stuff. If you come by, you’ll probably find me near the back machines or checking the measurements on a finished piece. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice to make sure they fit right. Sometimes we have to work late to finish an order for a factory that’s sitting idle, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t spend money on big advertisements, we just focus on making sure the gears we send out don’t fail. It’s a dusty, noisy life, but there is a lot of satisfaction in seeing a finished pile of gears ready to go.
