We’ve been at B/12 Palak Apartment for quite some time now, right near the Bhavsar Hostel in Juna Wadaj. It’s a busy little spot but we manage. Most days you’ll find us surrounded by wood planks and the smell of sawdust. We make all kinds of things like cupboards, beds, and stools for folks around here. It isn't a massive factory or anything like that. Just a workshop where we get our hands dirty. Sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit much, especially during rush hour, but that’s just life in this part of town. People stop by to ask about fixing a broken chair leg or getting a new kitchen cabinet made. We just take the measurements, write them down in a worn-out notebook, and get to work. It's practical stuff. We don't have fancy showrooms with bright lights. Most of our pieces are just sitting there waiting to be picked up or delivered to someone's house nearby. We use local wood and simple tools that have seen better days but still work fine. If you walk past the hostel, you'll probably hear the hammering. We’ve known the neighbors for years. It's just a regular business doing regular work. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. If someone needs a table, they usually know where to find us. We just keep busy and try to finish the orders on time.
