Ganesh Wood Works

Our shop is tucked away on Bihari Mill Road in Khokhra. We are right behind Gayatri Dairy, so we get that smell of fresh milk every morning when they do their deliveries. It is a good landmark for people trying to find us. This area of Khokhra is quite old and has a lot of character. We do a lot of wood stuff here, mostly just regular jobs that people need for their houses or shops. It is not a huge space, but it fits everything we need. We have benches for cutting and piles of wood stacked in the corners. Every morning we start by moving some of the timber around to make room for the day's tasks. The road outside can get a bit cramped with cycles and small vans, but we manage. We are not trying to be the biggest shop around. We just like doing the work. My hands are usually covered in wood glue or dust by the time lunch rolls around. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit of air when it gets too stuffy inside with the machines running. We have known the neighbors for years, and it feels like a small community on this street. We do not have any big plans, we just take the work as it comes and try to do a decent job for anyone who walks in. That is the way we have always done things here on Bihari Mill Road. It is just a regular life for us.
