Ganesh Wood Art

We are located over at Swagat Plaza 1 in the Ambli area. It is right on the Funrepublic Bopal Road, which gets really crowded during the evening rush. Our shop is unit number 7. We spend most of our time working with wood and trying to make something decent out of it. It is a lot of manual labor, honestly. The smell of fresh cut timber is always in the air here. Sometimes the sawdust gets everywhere, even in our tea if we are not careful. We use a variety of tools, some old and some newer, to get the shapes right. It is a messy job but we do not mind the cleanup at the end of the day. Bopal is growing fast, so there are always new buildings going up nearby. We see a lot of people passing by on their way to work or home. Most of them just peek inside to see what we are making. We do not really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are. Usually, the day starts early when it is still a bit quiet on the road. By noon, the sun is beating down on the plaza and it gets warm inside. We just keep our heads down and keep carving or sanding until the light fades. It is a simple way to spend the day. We are just local people doing wood work in a busy part of town and we like it that way.
