Our office is tucked away on the first floor of Sunder Nivas, which is in Mamunayak Ni Pole on Gandhi Road. If you know the old city, you know how the poles are—narrow streets and lots of history. We’re part of Surya Enterprise at 1786. This is where the electrical contractors around here tend to gather or send their paperwork. It’s not a big corporate headquarters. It’s a small space filled with files and a few desks. We spend a lot of time talking about wiring, parts, and local projects. Sometimes it’s a bit cramped when a few people come in at once to discuss something. The fan overhead usually makes a clicking sound, but we’re used to it. Being on Gandhi Road means it’s always noisy outside with the rickshaws and people shopping. We’ve been here for years, and most of the electricians in the area know exactly which door to knock on. It’s a practical place for people who work with their hands. We don’t have fancy furniture, just what we need to get the admin work done. It feels like home to us after all this time. We handle the memberships and the various bits of paperwork that come with the trade. It’s a simple setup for a local group and we like being in the heart of the city where the action is.
