Our office is on the tenth floor of the Sakar-V building, right on Ashram Road. We are in unit 1001, so we have a bit of a view of the surrounding area. It is located just behind where the Natraj Cinema used to be. Working in freight means we deal with a lot of international and domestic shipping logistics. Galaxy Freight has been around for some time, and this office is our main base of operations. It is a professional enough space, but it’s mostly just desks, computers, and people on the phone or sending emails. There is a lot of back and forth with customs, ports, and transport companies. It is a lot of details to keep track of, and things can get stressful when a shipment is delayed for some reason. We spend our days trying to find the best routes and solving problems that come up with moving goods. Ashram Road is a central place to be, though getting in and out during peak hours is always a bit of a struggle. We have a small team here who knows the ins and outs of the freight business. It is not a flashy job, but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We just focus on getting the paperwork right and making sure the cargo gets where it needs to be. It’s a lot of coordination and staying on top of things, but that’s the nature of the industry we are in.
