G. R. Fabrics

G. R. Fabrics is located at No-125 in the New Cloth Market, just outside Raipur Gate. The market is a hectic place, full of people carrying heavy rolls of fabric and shouting across the aisles. Our shop is one of many, but we’ve been here long enough that the regulars know where to find us. Inside, it’s mostly just piles of cloth in different colors and materials. It smells like fresh cotton and dust. We don’t have a lot of room for walking around, so you have to be careful not to trip over the bundles on the floor. We spend our days measuring out lengths of fabric and folding things back up. Our hands are usually covered in lint by the end of the day. It’s not a corporate office; it’s a working shop in a busy market. Sometimes the ceiling fan rattles a bit too much, but it helps with the heat. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just sell fabric to people who need it. Raipur Gate is a historic spot, and being just outside it feels like we’re part of the city's history too. We just focus on getting through the day's work and making sure the shop stays stocked. It’s honest, simple work and we don’t try to make it seem like anything else. We've seen many people come and go from the cloth market over the years.
