Our office is located at 1 Ashesh Park in the Bhaikakanagar area of Thaltej. It is a pretty straightforward place in Ahmedabad where we handle our daily business. Usually, the mornings start with opening up the windows and getting the computers running. There is always a lot of paper around. We spend a good chunk of the day sitting at desks or talking on the phone with people who have questions. It is not a very loud office, mostly just the sound of typing and the ceiling fans. Thaltej has changed a lot over the years, getting much busier than it used to be. We are used to the rhythm of the city and the way the traffic picks up in the evening. Our team is just regular people who know how to manage the workload. We don’t go for anything flashy here. The furniture is functional and the tea is usually decent enough to get us through the afternoon. Most days are about staying organized and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It is practical work. We find ourselves staying late sometimes when there is a lot to do, but that is common for any business in Gujarat. We just keep at it and make sure the door is locked when we leave. It’s a simple setup for G K Choksi Co and we like it that way because it is what we know.
