Our office is tucked away in Gulbai Tekra, behind the IIPM College in Ahmedabad. We are in unit 202 of the Akshar Apartment building. Being near a college means there are always students around and plenty of small food stalls nearby. It is a lively part of the city to work in. Freight Lines India Pvt. Ltd. has been here for a while. We deal with freight and shipping, which means we spend a lot of time on the phone with ports and transport companies. The building itself is an older apartment style, so it has a bit of character. We are not in one of those shiny new glass towers. Our space is filled with desks, computers, and a lot of paper. Sometimes the traffic in Gulbai Tekra gets a bit backed up, especially when classes are letting out. We have to plan our movements around that. Most of us here have been in the shipping business for years. We don't really have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just come in, do our jobs, and go home. On rainy days, the area gets a bit muddy, but that is just part of being in this city. We like being in a spot that feels like a real neighborhood. There is a small tea shop just around the corner where we usually go for our breaks. It is a practical, no-nonsense kind of office where we just focus on moving freight.
