We’ve been at the 10/A spot in Ambalal Park for a while now. Most folks know where Darbar Chowkadi is in Manjalpur, so we aren't too hard to find. It's a busy corner of Baroda. Every morning the shutters go up and the vans start pulling in with boxes from everywhere. Some are small envelopes for across town, others are big crates headed far away. It gets loud and a bit messy with tape and labels, but that's just how it goes here. We spend a lot of time checking addresses and making sure things get on the right truck. Sometimes the rain slows things down or traffic near the chowkadi is a nightmare, but we just keep at it. People come in all day asking if their stuff arrived or how much it costs to send a gift to a relative. We try to keep it simple and give them a straight answer. There isn't much fancy about the office. It’s mostly just desks, scales, and stacks of paper. My brother helps out with the sorting when it gets really packed around the holidays. We've seen all sorts of things come through, from wedding invites to heavy machine parts. It's regular work, nothing flashy or high-tech. We just stay open until the last bag is loaded and the driver heads out. If you're walking around Manjalpur, you probably see us moving bins back and forth. That is pretty much our whole day. We stay busy and keep the parcels moving through the city.
