We’ve been operating as a private limited company for a while, focusing on construction and building work throughout the city. Ahmedabad is growing fast, and we wanted to be a part of that. Being based in a society like Chandramani makes the business feel more personal. We aren't in some big steel skyscraper. We’re right there in the neighborhood. Our daily routine involves checking on sites and dealing with the various suppliers we use. It’s not always glamorous work. There’s a lot of heat and dust in this business, especially in Gujarat. We just get on with it. The office is where the planning happens, usually over several rounds of tea. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just tell people what we can do and then we go out and do it. It’s a simple way to run a business. We know the local landscape and the way things work here in Ahmedabad. If you come by the society, you’ll find us busy with the usual paperwork. We like the stability of having a fixed base here. It’s where we started and where we plan to keep building from.
