Our place is over at C-6 Shivalya Bunglows. It’s right near the Aarohi Bunglows and that old government tube well corner in Bopal. If you know Ahmedabad, you know this part of town has been getting busy lately. Inside our office, there is always the smell of wood and glue because of all the Everest Ply and Veneers samples we keep lying around. We have stacks of different sheets leaning against the walls. Some are dark, some are light, and some have those fancy grains that people like for their front doors. It’s not a big corporate building, just a regular bungalow setup where we sit and talk to contractors all day. The fans are usually on high because it gets stuffy with all the wood around. Sometimes the dust from the samples gets on the desks, but that’s just how it is when you work with plywood. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at checklists for shipments. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually end up for breaks. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights. People just know where we are by the tube well corner. We try to keep the paperwork organized, but things get messy when a big order comes in. It’s a local business through and through, just a few of us trying to keep the wood moving and keeping the shop running.
