Ahmedabad heat is something else. Our shop is at C/72 in Part-3 of Ajay Tenament. It’s right near Rabari Colony in Amraiwadi. If you live around here, you know it gets dusty and loud. We spend most of our time dealing with AC units and big ventilation systems. It's a lot of climbing on roofs and messing with copper pipes. The office is small and usually has a few old compressors sitting in the corner waiting for parts. We aren't fancy people. We wear work clothes that usually have a bit of grease or dust on them. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the sun to go down a bit so we can get back to the outdoor units. Sometimes the traffic near the colony makes it hard to get the van out quickly, but we manage. We’ve been in this spot for a good while. We don't have a big receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is around. Most of the guys have been doing this for years. We know the machines can be finicky, especially with the Gujarat weather being so harsh. We just try to fix what’s broken and make sure the new stuff is put in right. It’s hard work and it’s often very hot, but it keeps the lights on and the neighbors cool. That’s really all there is to it at Ethos.
