Our engineering group is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, specifically in the 380015 area. We mainly focus on mechanical engineering work, which means a lot of our time is spent looking at drawings, handling metal parts, and figuring out how things fit together. It is not the cleanest job in the world, and our hands are usually a bit greasy by the end of the day. The workshop is a practical space with tools scattered around and projects at various stages of completion. Ahmedabad is a big industrial city, so there is always someone needing something repaired or a part fabricated for a machine. We don't spend much on making the place look pretty; we would rather spend that on better tools or material. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years, so they know their way around a lathe or a milling machine pretty well. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us in our work clothes trying to finish a job on time. Sometimes the heat in Gujarat makes the workshop feel like an oven, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. It’s a straightforward life, just solving mechanical problems and making sure the stuff we build actually works the way it is supposed to for the people who need it.
