Deluxe Decor

Our shop is over near the Kalyan Jewellers in Hirabaug, Ambawadi. It’s also close to Ellis Bridge, so it’s a location that a lot of people pass by when they are out shopping for their homes. We have a lot of fabric rolls and samples scattered around the place. It can get a bit overwhelming with all the different colors and patterns everywhere you look. People come in looking for stuff to make their houses look a bit better, like new curtains or maybe some cushions. We have a few big tables where we can spread out the cloth to measure things. The shop is usually bright because of the big front windows, but that also means it gets pretty hot in the afternoon. We have a few old fans that we keep pointed at the work areas. The floor is often covered in little bits of thread and scraps of fabric that we have to sweep up at the end of every day. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have a lot of new stock delivered. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighbors at the jewelry shop are friendly enough. It’s just a regular store where we spend our time helping people pick out what they need. Sometimes we get the measurements wrong and have to start over, but that’s just part of how things go. We keep a stash of biscuits in the back for tea breaks.
