We set up shop in the Rajdeep Industrial Estate, specifically at units 89 through 91. If you ever come down to Vatva, you’ll know it’s a heavy industrial area and it gets quite dusty around Bibi Talav, especially when the trucks are moving in and out all day. We deal with automation stuff, which mostly means lots of parts, wires, and technical drawings scattered around our worktables. The workshop can get a bit hot in the summer months, but we have some fans going to keep us moving. We aren’t some huge corporation with a glass building in the city center. It’s a practical space where we actually put things together and test them out. Most of the guys here have been working with machines for a long time and really know their way around a control panel. We start early because the traffic in this part of Ahmedabad is no joke if you arrive late. Sometimes we have tea at the small stall around the corner while we talk about the day's tasks. There is almost always a smell of oil or cut metal in the air, which is just part of the job. It isn’t glamorous work, but it's what we know how to do. We handle a lot of different projects for other factories nearby. Our space isn't perfectly tidy, but we know where every tool is. The neighbors in the estate are mostly other small businesses, so we all know each other.
