If you are ever around Subhash Chowk in Memnagar, you might have passed by Eastman Auto & Power Ltd. We are located at A 52 in the Neminathkrupa Society. It’s a nice enough area in Ahmedabad, though parking can be a bit of a headache during peak hours. We deal with auto parts and power stuff, mostly batteries and things that keep vehicles moving. It’s a lot of inventory management and talking to dealers. The office isn't anything special to look at, just desks and shelves filled with manuals and parts lists. We have a few people who have been here for years. We know the regulars who come in and out. Most of the work involves making sure the logistics side of things doesn't fall apart. It gets hot in Ahmedabad, so the AC is usually running full blast in the afternoons. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world, just trying to do our jobs right and make sure the orders go out on time. Sometimes there is a mix-up with a delivery, and we spend the whole morning on the phone fixing it. That’s just how the business goes. We like being in Memnagar because it’s central for us. People here work hard and we try to do the same without making a big fuss about it. Just local people doing local business.
