We run Eastern Spinning & Textile Mills Pvt. Ltd. out here on Suriawan Road in Fattupur. Our mailing address is Post Box No.137, though the physical mill is where the real action happens every day. It is a large space because you need a lot of room for spinning machines. The air is always full of tiny bits of fiber, and the sound of the spindles is constant. It can be quite loud when everything is running at once, but you get used to it. We have been part of the Fattupur landscape for quite some time now. It is a local operation, and most of us have been working here for years. We aren't doing anything fancy; we just take the raw material and turn it into yarn. It takes a lot of patience to keep everything running smoothly without the threads breaking every five minutes. The road outside can get very dusty, especially during the dry season. We do not spend much time on fancy talk or long meetings. We just get to the mill early and stay until the shift is done. It is hard work, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we all appreciate. The village life around here is quiet compared to the noise inside our walls. We just focus on our output and try to keep things moving as best as we can without overcomplicating things. It is just what we do here in Fattupur. We just keep the machines spinning.
