The clinic is at 213 in the Span Trade Centre, which sits right opposite the Kochrab Ashram in the Paldi area. Being near the Ashram makes it a very recognizable spot for anyone coming from across Ahmedabad. The Span Trade Centre is a busy commercial building with many different offices, so there is always a lot of activity in the elevators and the parking area downstairs. Our unit is on the second floor, and we have tried to make it a comfortable place for the patients who come to see us. It is a modern building compared to some others in the area, but we keep our own office very straightforward. There are no fancy decorations or polished marketing materials, just the necessary medical equipment and some chairs for waiting. We get a real mix of people—some who work right here in the trade centre and others who travel from further away in Paldi. The view from the window looks out over the main street, and you can see the traffic moving towards the river most of the day. We spend our time keeping track of the appointments and helping the doctor manage the flow of people coming in. It gets quite hectic around the middle of the day, but we just keep working through the list. We do not use any slick talk or corporate branding; we just do our work and talk to the people who come in.
