Out at Plot No. 102 in the Dholka GIDC, Kalka area, you’ll find our place right near N. H. No. 8. It’s a busy industrial zone, so there’s always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. We don't have a fancy office with a receptionist; it’s mostly just the work floor and a small corner where we keep the books. The air can get a bit thick with the smell of the machines and the material we work with, but we’ve all been doing this so long that we hardly notice anymore. It’s hard work, especially when the summer heat hits and the tin roof makes the place feel like an oven. We usually have a few fans going, but they mostly just move the warm air around. Still, the crew here is a good bunch, and we find ways to keep things light. We often share our lunches on a big table in the back, talking about cricket or family stuff. Being so close to the highway is handy for getting things shipped out, though the traffic can be a nightmare on Friday afternoons. We aren't trying to be some high-profile corporation. We’re just a local business trying to keep the machines running and the orders moving. The floors are a bit stained and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it’s a working space, not a gallery. We just focus on getting the job done right.
