We are part of Dhl Express India Pvt Ltd. Our office is basically in a neighborhood, which makes the morning commute pretty easy for the local staff. Ahmedabad gets very hot in the summer months, as anyone living here knows. We spend a lot of our time inside the office managing the express deliveries that go all over the world. It is interesting to see the different things people send out from this city. We have a small gate at the front and then you come up to our office. It is not a massive warehouse, just a place where we handle the paperwork and coordination. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside while we are trying to track a package to Europe or America. It is a bit of a mix of normal life and global business. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights. Just a regular sign so people don't get lost in the society lanes. We know most of the delivery drivers by their first names. They stop by for water and a quick chat before heading back out into the heat. We keep things simple here and just focus on the task at hand. It is a good place to work.
