Dhiren Plast Industries is situated over at 12B, right near the railway crossing in Phase-3 of Gidc Naroda. If you’ve ever been stuck waiting for the train to pass, you’ve probably seen our building. It’s a busy part of the industrial estate. We work with plastics, which means the machines are almost always running. The sound of the railway is just background noise to us now. It’s a hot and dusty environment, but that’s manufacturing for you. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Instead, we have stacks of raw materials and finished parts waiting to be shipped out. Most of our guys have been here since the early days. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the plastic isn't brittle. Sometimes we have to rework a batch because the temperature in the shed got too high. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t use a lot of big words or corporate talk. We just tell you what we can do and when it will be ready. Life in Naroda is fast-paced, and we try to keep up with the demand. Coffee breaks are short because there is always another order coming in. It’s a bit messy at times, with scraps on the floor, but we clean up before we head home for the night. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just making parts that people need for their own businesses.
