Operating out of Golden Point Market in Surat is definitely an experience. If you’ve ever been down Ring Road near Begampura, you know how hectic it gets. Our office, number 30, is right in the middle of all that noise and energy. Dhanlaxmi Meta Impex Llp is basically us spending our days managing imports and exports while the world rushes by outside the window. Falsawadi is always busy, and sometimes finding a place to park is the hardest part of the day. We’ve got a small team and we spend a lot of time talking to vendors and checking on orders. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The market is full of people trying to make a living, and we are no different. We keep the office functional rather than pretty. There are piles of ledger books and samples laying around. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do. We just make sure the metals and materials get to the people who bought them. Living and working in Surat means you have to be fast, but we try to stay grounded. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure the trucks are on time and the paperwork is sorted. Sometimes things go wrong, but we just fix it and keep moving. That’s just life in the market for us.
