Dhanlakshmi Furniture is located right on National Highway No 8 in Thakkarbapa Nagar. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite the Madhur Hotel and the petrol pump, and very close to the Bajrang Ashram. Being on the highway means we get a lot of dust and noise, but it’s great for getting noticed by people driving by. Inside the shop, it smells like wood and polish most of the time. We keep a variety of chairs, tables, and cupboards on display, though the space is a bit tight sometimes. We often have to move things around just to let a customer get a good look at a sofa. It’s a family-run kind of place, and we do most of the heavy lifting ourselves. My brother handles the sales while I usually look after the stock and the finishing work. We don't have a fancy website; we just rely on people seeing our signs or hearing about us from their neighbors. Sometimes a customer will come in with a specific idea, and we see if we can find something that fits their house. The highway stays busy late into the night, so we often keep the lights on a bit longer than other shops. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and explaining the difference between different types of wood. It isn't always easy, but we've been at this spot for years.
