Devisantosh Exports Llp is right in the thick of the fabric trade. We handle exports for various types of cloth. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with samples and ledgers. We spend most of the day talking to vendors and checking the quality of the rolls coming in. The market is a maze, and it’s always hot. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. We know the other shopkeepers and the guys who haul the bundles on their backs. It’s a very manual business. We don't use much fancy technology, just basic computers for the billing. Our main focus is just getting the orders sorted and packed correctly for shipping. Sometimes the colors aren't quite right or the delivery is late, and we have to scramble to fix it. That's just how the textile business works here. We aren't a big brand name. We’re just local people who know a lot about fabric and how to move it across borders. It’s a lot of work, and the traffic on Ring Road is a nightmare every single afternoon, but we manage to stay busy. We usually close up late once the last shipment is loaded and the market starts to quiet down a bit.
