Devam Hospital And Diabetes Centre is located in the Subhlaxmi Complex, right in the Naranpura area. We occupy units 5 to 37 on the first floor. It’s a bit of a sprawling space once you get inside, but from the street, you just see the sign for the complex. We are right opposite Sanghavi School, which means our daily routine is timed by the school bell. When school lets out, the whole street is filled with kids and parents, and it gets very noisy for about an hour. We’ve been here for quite some time, focusing a lot on helping people manage their diabetes, though we do regular hospital work as well. The first floor location means patients have to use the stairs or the lift, which can be a bit slow on busy days. Inside, the place is functional. We have benches for waiting and several rooms for consultations and testing. It’s not a fancy, polished clinic. The walls have some charts on them, and the furniture is simple. Our staff knows a lot of the patients by their first names because diabetes care involves a lot of repeat visits. We don’t do much in terms of promotion or advertising. Most of our patients come because they live in Naranpura or were told about us by a friend. It’s a busy, unpretentious place where we just focus on the health of our community. We try to keep things organized despite the daily hustle.
