If you’re ever walking through the narrow lanes of Dariyapur in Ahmedabad, you’ll find us at Yamuna Hardware. The address is 2665/1, right across from Nayi Chhatralay and tucked behind the Dariapur Tower. It’s a crowded area, full of history and a lot of noise. Our shop is small, and every inch of wall space is covered with shelves holding tools, pipes, and all sorts of hardware. It’s a bit dark inside, and you have to be careful not to trip over the buckets on the floor. I’ve spent years behind this counter, helping people who come in looking for a very specific type of bolt or a tap for their kitchen. Most of our customers are neighbors or people who have been coming to this part of the city for decades. We don't have a computer to track what we have; I just know that the brass fittings are in the back left corner and the hammers are near the door. It gets very busy in the mornings, with everyone trying to get their supplies before the sun gets too high. We keep the shop open until late, and the street outside is always alive with people and scooters. It’s a dusty, hectic place, but it’s home. We don’t have any fancy displays or a website. If you need something, you just come in and ask. We’re just a local hardware store doing our thing in the heart of Ahmedabad, right inside the Dariyapur Gate in the Rupapari Pole neighborhood.
