If you’re ever on C G Road in Ahmedabad, you’ll find us in the Super Mall. We are on the second floor at office 217. The mall is right near Lal Bunglow, which is a very easy landmark to find. Daoni Diamond Exports (Opc) Privatelimited is the business. Being on C G Road means there’s always something happening outside. It’s one of the busiest streets in the city. We work with diamonds, mostly on the export side. It’s a small office, but it’s kept very secure for obvious reasons. We spend a lot of time looking at very small things and filling out a lot of paperwork. The light in the office is bright so we can see what we are doing. It’s a quiet place compared to the noisy mall hallways. We have a few staff members who have been with us for a long time. Parking at the mall can be a real struggle, so most of us try to get here quite early. We don’t have any big displays or fancy showrooms. It’s just a place of work. We handle the shipping and the logistics of sending stones abroad. Sometimes we have clients come in, but mostly we are just dealing with our partners over the phone or email. It’s a very detailed job where you can't afford to make mistakes. We usually take a break in the afternoon to get some fresh air away from the mall lights.
