Dagger Forst Tools Ltd. (Yash Birla Group)

Out here in Mehsana, things move at their own pace. Dagger Forst Tools Ltd. is part of the Yash Birla Group, but on the ground here at Kirit C. Raval in Suraj, it just feels like a regular workplace. We are located in the Kadi district, which is a bit of a drive for some, but it’s a good area to be in. The dusty roads get a bit messy during the monsoon, but we manage. Most of us have been coming to this same spot for years. It isn’t the kind of place you’d find in a big city. It’s practical and built for work. We have a lot of space out here. The air is different than in Ahmedabad or the bigger towns. When we say we are at Suraj, people usually know the general direction. It is a quiet spot mostly. We don't have much in the way of big cafes or shops right outside our gate. We bring our own lunch or get something local. The building itself is sturdy. We don't spend much time worrying about how it looks from the outside. As long as everything is running, we are happy. Sometimes the power fluctuates, but that's just part of living in this part of Mehsana. We just keep our heads down and get through the day's tasks. It’s honest work and a place that feels like it belongs to the land around it. It’s just how we operate.
