Crown Metals

Crown Metals has its office and factory over at the Desai Industrial Estate in Sarkhej. We are right near the railway crossing on the Sarkhej-Sanand Road. If you’ve ever been stuck at that crossing waiting for a train to pass, you’ve probably seen our sign. It’s a dusty area with a lot of movement. Trucks are constantly rumbling past, and the sound of the trains is something you just get used to after the first week. We work with all kinds of metal here. It’s a large, open shed mostly, which helps keep the air moving when we are welding or cutting. The floor is always covered in iron filings and sparks fly pretty often. It’s a tough environment, but the guys who work here are used to it. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you have to walk onto the factory floor and see the guys in action. Our office is just a cabin at the front where we keep the ledgers and handle the phone calls. It’s usually a bit disorganized with papers everywhere, but we know where everything is. We focus on getting the fabrication done. There isn't much time for anything else. We start early, work hard until the sun goes down, and then head home before the traffic on the Sanand road gets too backed up at the railway crossing.
