You can find us in the village of Hirapur, which is part of Santrampur in the Panch Mahals district. We operate Crime Patroling News Network from a local spot here, care of Gajanandprasad J Shukla. It is a very rural area, far away from the big media hubs in the cities. We started this because we wanted to keep an eye on what was happening in our own backyard and share news that matters to local people. Our setup is very basic, just some cameras, a few computers, and a lot of time spent talking to people on the street. We aren't a big flashy news channel with a studio and bright lights. It is mostly us going out to see what is happening in the taluka and reporting it as we see it. Some days are slow and not much happens, while other days we are running around trying to get the facts straight. The office is really just a room where we gather to edit our videos or write down notes. It can be a bit noisy with the village life going on outside, but that is part of the charm.
