Ronak Textile

Ronak Textile is located at shop number 522 in the New Cloth Market of Ahmedabad. Being in this market means we are right in the middle of all the noise and the crowds. Our shop is packed with rolls of different fabrics from the floor to the ceiling. It is a very busy environment where traders are always shouting and poring over samples. The market itself is an old building and it has that specific smell of fresh textiles and dust. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people coming in to feel the cloth for themselves. My father started this business years ago, and I have been here ever since I finished school. We usually sit on cushions on the floor while we talk to customers and show them our stock. There is no air conditioning here, just some old ceiling fans that don't do much when it’s forty degrees outside. The lanes in the market are so narrow that moving heavy bundles of cloth is a real chore. We know all the other shopkeepers around us, and we often share news over a cup of tea. It is a traditional way of doing business that hasn't changed much in decades. We just focus on having enough stock and keeping our regulars happy. It is a lot of hard work but it is our life in the market.
