Jay Garments

You can find us at Jay Garments, which is at D-6 in the Abhishek Complex Number 1. We are right on Civil Hospital Road, just across from the Haripura Bus Stop and near the Asawa Over Bridge in Ahmedabad. It is a very busy spot with people constantly getting off the buses and walking by. The shop is usually full of finished garments and stacks of fabric waiting to be cut. We do a lot of stitching here and you can always hear the sound of the sewing machines going in the background. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes because the complex is older and the rooms are not huge. We have been here long enough that the local street vendors know us by name. It gets dusty because of the road outside, so we are always wiping down the counters. We do not have a fancy website or a big social media presence. Most people just see the sign when they are waiting for their bus and wander in to see what we have. We handle a lot of different orders and it keeps us on our toes from morning till night. My hands are usually stained with dye or covered in bits of thread, but that is just how it is when you are actually making clothes. It is a honest way to earn a living in a busy city like this.
