City Tiles Limited

Our place is located in the Sumel Complex, right beside the Mirch Masala restaurant. If you know the Pakvan Cross Road area off the SG Highway, you can find us pretty easily. It is a busy spot, especially around lunch because of the restaurant next door, and sometimes the smell of their food comes right into our space. We have tiles of all kinds stacked up everywhere, from the floor almost to the ceiling. Moving those heavy boxes around is a real workout, but it keeps us on our toes. The floor in the showroom always has a little bit of dust on it no matter how much we sweep, but that’s just part of dealing with stone and ceramic. We spend most of our time showing people the different patterns and weights of the tiles we keep in stock. The indoor lights aren't always great, so we often carry pieces out to the walkway to see how they look in the real sun. It is a simple operation where we talk about kitchens and bathrooms while the traffic goes by on the highway outside. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few of us here making sure the stock is counted and the orders are ready to go. It involves a lot of lifting and paperwork, but it is what we do. The Sumel building is a good, well-known spot for us to be.
