If you head down to Phase-Iv of the G.I.D.C. in Vatva, you will find Chitra Precious Mechtech Pvt. Ltd. located at 4809/1. We are right near the big water tank, which is the easiest way to tell people where to turn off the main road. The area stays pretty dusty because of all the trucks moving in and out, but we are used to it by now. Inside our gates, we stay focused on the mechanical side of things. It’s a lot of metal, grease, and the sound of heavy cutters. We started out small and just kept adding a few more benches and tools as the work grew. There isn't any big corporate boardroom here, just a desk with too many papers on it and some chairs for when people stop by to discuss a project. We keep the machines running most of the day because there is always a backlog of parts that need finishing. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It gives us a break from the heat of the machines anyway. Everyone here knows their job, so we don't need to talk much while we work. We just try to get things done accurately and move on to the next task on the list. It’s basic work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
