Chaudhary General & Furniture Mart

Chaudhary General & Furniture Mart is located over in Meghaninagar. We have shops number 6 and 7 in the Keshavbaug Society. It’s a pretty easy place to find because we are right near the Tatanagar Bus Stop. If you’re looking across from the Govt Colony, that’s where we are. We handle a bit of everything here, from general items to bigger furniture pieces. It’s a local shop for the people living around Meghaninagar. We’ve been in these two units for quite some time now. Some days it’s quiet and we just organize the floor, and other days it’s packed with people coming off the bus. Having the bus stop so close makes it convenient for folks who don't have their own transport. The shop isn't some big corporate showroom. It’s more of a neighborhood spot where you can come in and look around without any pressure. We try to keep a good variety of stuff in stock. Since we are in the society building, we know a lot of the residents by name. It’s that kind of place. We started small and just kept going. The area around Keshavbaug has grown a lot, but we are still here in the same spot. It’s a bit dusty sometimes with the road right there, but we don't mind. We just focus on providing what the local families need for their homes. There isn't much more to it than that, just a regular shop for regular people.
