Our place is out at Swastik Estate in Sari Village which is right along the Rajkot Ahmedabad Highway. It is a big area and we occupy plots 243 and 244. Being on the highway means there is always the sound of trucks and cars zooming past at all hours. We get a lot of dust inside because of the road work and the wind blowing across the open fields nearby. The estate itself is quite busy with other businesses around us too. Inside our building things are usually loud and there is a lot of movement. We have been here for a good amount of time and the walls show it. It’s an industrial space so don't expect it to look like a clean office in the city. There are stacks of materials and tools everywhere you look. The staff knows exactly where everything is even if it looks a bit messy to someone just walking in for the first time. We spend most of our day managing the production and making sure the machines are running okay. Sometimes the power goes out or a delivery is late but we just deal with it as it comes. It's hard work and the days are long but this is what we do. We usually have tea together in the small break area when the shift changes and the noise stops for a bit.
