Chandan Optical Industries

Our place is on the first floor over in the Ravi Industrial Estate. If you're looking for us, we are right opposite Maniar Trailor in Rakhial. It's a busy part of town with a lot of trucks and noise coming from the street. We do optical work here, mostly industrial stuff. The stairs up to 12/B can be a bit steep if you aren't used to them. It's a working shop, so there's always the sound of machinery and the smell of materials being processed. We've been in this spot for quite some time now. The light in the workshop is okay, but we use a lot of desk lamps for the detail work. Dealing with lenses and optical parts requires some focus, so we try to keep the distractions down, even though the estate is loud outside. Some of the guys have worked here since they were young. We have lunch together most days, usually just bringing stuff from home. It's not a showroom, it's where the actual manufacturing happens. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we're usually too busy with orders to worry about that. We just focus on getting the specs right for whatever project is on the bench. Rakhial has always been an industrial hub, so we fit right in with the other shops around us. It's simple work but it keeps us busy from morning until evening.
