Chamunda Furniture Chamunda Wood Works

Our workshop and shop are at 64/495 Sarvodaynagar in Hatkeshwar. Our place is right on the Khokhra Main Road, opposite the Hatkeshwar Police Chowki. We are part of the Gujarat Housing Board area. We do a mix of things here under the names Chamunda Furniture Chamunda Wood Works. Most of our time is spent actually working with wood. You can usually hear the sound of saws or sanding if you walk past. It’s a dusty environment because of all the wood shavings. We don’t have a fancy storefront with big glass windows. It’s more of a workshop where we also sell what we make. We have been in Hatkeshwar for years and we know a lot of the families around here. We make stuff like cupboards, doors, and tables. It’s honest work that leaves our hands rough and our clothes dirty. We don't use a lot of high-tech machinery. We prefer doing things the way we've always done them. The main road is always busy with people and traffic, which keeps things interesting. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff. We just get up, go to the shop, and start working on whatever project is next. Sometimes people bring in old furniture for us to fix, and we just see what can be done. It’s a local wood shop doing its thing every day. We enjoy the work and being part of the neighborhood.
