Varahi International

The office for Varahi International is over in Bopal at the Radhe Morari Duplex, right near the government tubewell. It’s a bit of a residential area, so it’s quieter than the main parts of Ahmedabad. We handle international trade stuff, mostly dealing with paperwork for shipping and talking to people overseas. The office is basically just a few desks with computers and some maps on the wall. We spend a lot of our time on emails or waiting for time zones to match up so we can make a call. It’s not the kind of place with a big lobby or a receptionist. We’re a small group, just focusing on getting goods from one place to another without too many headaches. Sometimes there are delays at the ports or issues with the documents, and we have to spend all day fixing them. We’ve been working from this Bopal location for some time and we like the pace here. It’s practical work. We aren't trying to be some giant global corporation; we just manage our clients' exports and imports carefully. Most of our day is spent checking regulations or tracking containers. It’s interesting to see where everything goes, but at the end of the day, it’s just a lot of logistics and staying on top of the details. If you’re around the tubewell area, that’s where you’ll find us working away on the latest shipment. It is a slow process sometimes, but we keep at it.
