Bombay Fire Safety

Working at Bombay Fire Safety keeps us on our toes. We are located right outside Prem Darwaja, which is a busy area near the Century Market. If you walk by Lal Darwaja, you can’t miss the noise and the crowd. It’s a gritty part of town, full of life and constant movement. We deal with fire safety stuff every day. It’s not glamorous work. There are heavy cylinders, hoses, and lots of metal equipment everywhere. The shop is often a bit dusty because of the market nearby, but we don't mind much. We spend a lot of time talking to local shop owners and people who need to keep their buildings safe. It’s a practical trade. We don't wear suits; we wear clothes that can get a bit dirty. Sometimes we have to move heavy gear around, and that builds some muscle. The heat in the summer can be tough, especially with the sun hitting the street outside, but we keep the fans going. We have a small table in the back where we eat lunch. Usually, someone brings something from home and we share it. We aren't a big corporation with a fancy board of directors. We are just a local crew making sure fire extinguishers are ready when they are needed. It’s been this way for a while now, and we like being part of this neighborhood. We’ve been here so long that we don’t even notice the noise from the market anymore. It’s just the sound of the city to us.
