Bhagwati Wood Works/Hariom Wood Works (Amraiwadi)

Our workshop is located at 1 Mina Nagar, right across from Shankar Nagar and very close to the Ghanti Bus Stand in Amraiwadi. If you come by, you will likely hear the saws running before you even see the sign for Bhagwati Wood Works or Hariom Wood Works. It is a bit of a noisy place because of the cutting and sanding that goes on all day. There is almost always a layer of sawdust on the floor, no matter how much we sweep it up in the evenings. We spend most of our time measuring wood planks or putting pieces together for whatever job we have that week. Working with wood is a bit messy and tough on the hands, but it is what we know how to do. The area around the bus stand is always moving with people, so we see a lot of the local life passing by our door. Sometimes neighbors stop in just to say hello or ask about a small repair they need. We have been here in Amraiwadi for a good amount of time, and the shop has seen a lot of different projects come and go. Our space is filled with scraps and various tools that have been around as long as the building has. We do not try to keep things looking like a showroom because it is a working shop first. It gets quite cramped when we have a big order of timber delivered to the front door.
