Our place is Bhagwati Filters Pvt Ltd, and you can find us at 114/3 in the GIDC Estate over in Odhav. Being in GIDC means it’s always busy with industrial activity. There’s always the sound of machinery or trucks in the background. We’ve been here at this unit for a long time. It’s not a very pretty building, just a solid brick and metal structure that keeps the rain out. Inside, we mostly deal with filters and the various components that go with them. The air inside smells a bit like oil and metal, which is pretty normal for this area. We have a small team here. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to get things done. We know our routine. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, which is just part of being in an older industrial zone, so we just wait it out or work on what we can. We aren't a massive corporation with thousands of employees. We're just a group of people making sure these filters get made and shipped out to the people who need them. It's dusty and loud sometimes, but we like the work. It feels good to see a finished pallet ready to go out the gate. We stay until the last truck is loaded and then we lock up. It’s a long day but it’s a good one.
