New Rajasthan Kapad Bhandar

Our shop is right across from the Italian Bakery in Bhadra. If you know City Point, we are at Shop Number 2. New Rajasthan Kapad Bhandar has been sitting on I P Misan Road for a good while now. It’s a busy street, always crowded with people looking for clothes and fabric. We keep things pretty simple here. The shelves are packed with different types of cloth, and sometimes it's hard to find exactly what you want without asking. We don't have fancy air conditioning that works all the time, but the fans keep the air moving. People come in to pick out material for suits or traditional wear. It's a lot of unfolding and folding back up. The lighting isn't great, but you can see the colors well enough. We aren't some big mall store. It’s just a local cloth shop where we know many of the customers by face. Sometimes we have a tea while discussing what fabric works best for a wedding or just daily wear. The traffic outside is always noisy, with bikes and rickshaws honking, but inside we just focus on the cloth. It’s a small space, so things get a bit cramped when it's busy. We just do our thing and help people get what they need for their tailoring. It is a simple life and we like being part of this local market area.
