Bansidhar Traders

Bansidhar Traders is located at 11, Amarnath Estate, which is part of the old Manekchowk Mill Compound near Idgha Chowky in Asarwa. It’s a place with a lot of history, though most of the old mill buildings look pretty worn out these days. Our unit is one of many in the estate, and it’s filled with all the different things we trade. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes finding a specific item takes a ladder and a bit of digging. The air in Asarwa always feels a bit heavy with the dust of the city, and our windows stay shut most of the time to keep things inside clean. We don’t have fancy furniture in the office, just some sturdy wooden desks and a couple of old chairs for when people come by to settle their accounts. The compound can be a bit of a maze if you don’t know your way around, and the parking is always a headache because of the narrow lanes. We have a small team here, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to do without being told. It’s a quiet way to earn a living, mostly moving goods from one place to another and keeping track of the ledgers. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the other traders in the compound, so there’s a sense of being part of the local scene without making much noise.
