Our office is up on the third floor of Maurya Atria, right in the middle of the Bodakdev area. If you know where Atithi Dining Hall is, we are just in the lane opposite to that. It’s a pretty active part of town, so there is always something going on outside on Judges Bungalow Road. Inside 306, things are a bit more focused. We have our desks set up for drawing and planning, and there’s usually a stack of blue prints somewhere near the door. It’s not the kind of place that’s meant to look like a showroom. It’s a workspace. We spend our mornings going through emails and then the rest of the day is usually spent on the actual design work. Sometimes the meetings go long and we end up ordering snacks from the nearby stalls. The staff here has been together for a while, so we don't need to say much to understand who is doing what. We deal with a lot of technical stuff every day, making sure the structures we plan are actually going to work when they get built. It’s a lot of back and forth with clients and contractors. We try to keep things organized, but when you have a dozen projects going at once, the desks can get a bit messy. It’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We like being in this part of Ahmedabad because everything is close by.
